Research Portfolio Workshop (RPW)

The RPW is a deeper dive into scholarship and research. It is open to all faculty who seek to work on their research/scholarship. This workshop is strongly encouraged for full-time faculty who have just completed their first semester or year (pre-mid-tenure) and need to develop their research plan. It is also for those who have not done research but want to get started but need some assistance to begin.

  1. RPW is held in the summer as a 3 day in-person event with a mentor faculty member.
  2. You may register for the Zoom sessions only (no mentor) to learn about various topics related to research/scholarship.
  3. Sample agenda:
    • Day 1: Session on how to get started on your research; group work.
    • Day 2: Sessions on external evaluators and collaborations; group work.
    • Day 3: Sessions on timeline/guidelines, grants, conferences, op-eds; group work.
